Special Education Teacher | Oakland, California

Key Qualifications:

• Active California mild/moderate Special Education teaching credential (CTC)
• Experience supporting elementary school caseloads, especially in a resource setting
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work up to 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs in an elementary resource environment
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adapt strategies as needed
• Work closely with general educators, administrators, and families to promote student success
• Maintain detailed records and compliance with all district and state regulations
• Provide direct academic and behavioral support while promoting independence and self-advocacy
