Job Summary
We are seeking an Estimator, Sales, PM for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA with an engineering services team specializing in fire sprinkler and fire protection projects. This role combines estimating, project management, customer communication, and coordination with design, field, fabrication, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction or fire protection professional who enjoys managing projects from estimate through completion. The environment is collaborative, detail-focused, and team-oriented, with supportive leadership, regular department communication, and opportunities to contribute ideas while learning from experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, customer expectations, and project documentation with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction contract documents, fire protection drawings, specifications, contracts, change orders, permits, and project submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Estimate and manage fire sprinkler system installations while maintaining schedules, controlling costs, minimizing overages, and supporting overall project profitability.
- Coordinate with design, field teams, fabrication, subcontractors, general contractors, owners, and customers regarding schedules, progress, change orders, RFIs, and project needs.
- Track project labor, materials, purchase orders, change orders, meeting minutes, billing, and budget changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform estimating tasks including hydraulic calculations, seismic bracing layout and pricing, underground system layout and bidding, hydrant calculations, and bid preparation.
- Maintain organized digital records, communicate professionally with customers, and support successful project handoff between departments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $125,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- 100% onsite in office in Los Angeles, CA.
- Flexible schedule options may include 6:00am to 3:00pm, 7:00am to 4:00pm, or 8:00am to 4:00pm.
