Job Description
Criminal Law Paralegal
A well-established boutique law firm in Boulder is seeking an experienced Criminal Law and Civil Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys and taking ownership of complex criminal matters from intake through resolution.
Responsibilities
Support attorneys throughout all phases of criminal cases, including pretrial, trial preparation, and post-trial matters
Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Assist with preparation, organization, and review of discovery and evidence
Conduct legal and factual research and assist with case development
Prepare drafts of pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents
Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, witnesses, investigators, and other parties
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, witness materials, and courtroom logistics
Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files
Track case deadlines and ensure timely completion of filings and other case-related tasks
Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in criminal defense or criminal law
Strong understanding of criminal litigation procedures and court processes
Experience with discovery, legal research, case management, and trial preparation
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced boutique practice
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management technology

• Working knowledge of court procedures, litigation workflow, and the various stages of criminal matters.
