Special Education Teacher in Napa, CA

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education professional working with K-1st grade students in a supportive and well-resourced environment. This contract opportunity is based near Napa, CA and runs through June 4, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week. You'll be guiding a group of primarily moderate-needs students in a dedicated SDC classroom, supported by two skilled paraprofessionals.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active California mild/moderate credential required (please include a screenshot of your CTC in your application)
• Experience teaching in Special Day Classrooms or with K-1st grade populations is preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Compassion, patience, and dedication to student growth and achievement

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with the educational team
• Provide direct instruction to students with a range of learning needs
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages student participation and engagement
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support each student’s academic and behavioral goals
• Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
