Special Education Teacher in Edwards, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Current, valid Special Education Teaching License (please have a copy available to submit)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students requiring significant support
• Strong classroom management skills for diverse learners
• Compassion, adaptability, and collaborative spirit
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation

Responsibilities:

• Instruct, support, and inspire a caseload of 5 students in grades 6–8 within a Significant Support Needs classroom
• Develop, modify, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with classroom staff, related service providers, and families
• Create an inclusive, engaging environment that addresses each student’s unique goals
• Track and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
• Participate in regular meetings, professional development, and school initiatives

Details:

• Contract position available immediately through late May
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:40 am to 3:50 pm; Wednesday from 9:40 am to 3:50 pm
• 40 hours per week
• Located near Edwards, CO
