Senior Construction Project Manager

Job Description

This individual will act as an owner's representative, managing projects from early planning and preconstruction through construction and closeout. The ideal candidate will coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives related to budget, schedule, quality, and risk management are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital construction projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between owners, design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to maintain project objectives.
• Monitor project performance and provide executive-level reporting to clients and leadership.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants during project planning and design.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructability feedback.
• Review drawings, specifications, project estimates, and schedules.
• Assist clients with procurement strategies and contractor selection.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and project approvals.
• Oversee construction progress and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Review contractor schedules, pay applications, change orders, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate project meetings and maintain communication among all parties.
• Resolve project issues related to design, schedule, cost, and construction execution.
• Conduct site visits and monitor project quality and safety performance.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, aviation, public infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
• Experience working in an owner's representative, construction manager, program manager, or design-build environment.
• Strong understanding of both preconstruction and construction management processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, utilities, civil drawings, and CSI/MasterFormat documentation.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change management.

Work Environment

The position requires in-office work with regular client and site visits, approximately two per week, spanning from Louisville to Columbus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Ash, OH.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Blue Ash,OH.
