Utility Worker - Entry Level

A client of ours is hiring Utility Laborers for their Rochester, PA operation supporting projects across the greater Pittsburgh area.  A Utility Laborer will assist the crew in completing the project safely, on time, and meeting the customer specifications for quality.

Must Haves:

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach
• Must be able to lift, carry and place heavy objects
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Must have the ability to work extended hours when needed
• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing)
• Comfortable with occasional travel

Plusses:

• CDL A or B license

Day to Day:

• Work safely as an essential part of our Team. Safety is our number one Core Value.
• Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor
• Handle physically demanding construction duties in an outdoor environment
• Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, shovel work, and in the operation of power tools
• Learning career development skills related to utility construction, including the operation of equipment. (on-the-job training will be provided in in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance).
• Occasional extended travel required (Per Diem paid for all out-of-town projects)

Schedule: Onsite in Rochester, PA (about 50 hours per week, working occasional Saturday's).

Compensation: $18-$22/ hou
