Position OverviewWe are seeking a BIM/VDC Specialist with strong experience in process piping environments to support project teams throughout the design and coordination process. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models, participating in multidisciplinary coordination efforts, and helping ensure that project deliverables meet quality and constructability standards.
The ideal candidate combines technical modeling expertise with a collaborative mindset and thrives in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM/VDC models for process piping and related systems.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination efforts between engineering, design, and construction teams.
- Participate in clash detection, model review, and constructability analysis.
- Ensure models and project deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to resolve design and coordination issues.
- Generate and maintain project documentation, drawings, and model-based deliverables.
- Support BIM execution and coordination processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve workflows, modeling standards, and project efficiency.
- Participate in virtual coordination meetings and communicate model updates effectively across project teams.
- Experience working in a BIM/VDC role supporting engineering, design, or construction projects.
- Strong experience with process piping systems and model coordination.
- Proficiency with BIM modeling and coordination software.
- Experience performing clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong understanding of construction documents and design deliverables.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, process, life sciences, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, water/wastewater, or similar piping-intensive projects.
- Experience working directly with engineering and construction teams.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, project workflows, and model management best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy and quality.

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
