Job Description
Looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of elementary school students? Step into a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher, supporting a dedicated resource caseload at a friendly elementary campus. This position is based near San Bruno, CA, and is available as soon as possible through the end of the school year, offering 35-37.5 hours per week.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part within the school community, crafting individualized learning experiences and collaborating closely with families, staff, and related service providers. The ideal candidate brings a passion for inclusive education and a drive to help every student thrive.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California mild/moderate Special Education Teaching Credential (MUST; screenshot of current CTC required for consideration)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in special education or related field
- Previous experience with elementary resource caseloads preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Team-oriented with a positive, flexible approach
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction in resource and inclusive settings
- Develop, implement, and manage IEPs for students on assigned caseload
- Track student progress and adapt strategies to meet individual goals
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and service providers
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed
