About this job
Job Description
Industrial Shop / Production Technician
\nAbout the Position
\nWe are looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop / Production Technician to join our team. This is a true working-shop position for someone who likes building things, working with their hands, and seeing a finished product at the end of the day.
\nThe right person will be comfortable wearing a lot of hats. One day may involve painting and finishing products, while the next could involve loading and unloading wash racks, assembling products, cutting metal, washing/prepping parts, or helping wherever the shop needs an extra set of hands.
\nThis is not a sit-at-a-desk job. We need someone who sees something that needs to be done and gets after it.
\nJob Description
\nResponsibilities may include:
\n• Paint and finish products according to company specifications
\n• Load and unload wash racks safely and efficiently
\n• Assemble products using hand and power tools
\n• Cut and prepare metal and other materials
\n• Wash, clean, and prepare metal and products for processing or painting
\n• Move materials and finished products throughout the shop
\n• Inspect work for quality and make adjustments when necessary
\n• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
\n• Follow safety procedures and use PPE appropriately
\n• Assist other departments and coworkers as needed
\n• Learn and perform a variety of shop processes and equipment operations
\n• Perform general shop duties and other tasks as assigned
\nWhat We’re Looking For
\nThe ideal candidate is:
\n• Reliable — shows up on time and does what they say they’re going to do
\n• Hard-working — comfortable with physical work and being on their feet
\n• Mechanically inclined — understands tools, equipment, and how things fit together
\n• Self-motivated — doesn’t need someone standing over them all day
\n• Safety-conscious — takes the work seriously without being afraid to get their hands dirty
\n• Detail-oriented — cares about doing the job correctly, not just getting it done
\n• Adaptable — can switch from painting to assembly to material handling without complaining
\n• Team-oriented — willing to jump in and help wherever needed
\n• Willing to learn — previous shop experience is valuable, but attitude and work ethic matter just as much
\nThe Right Person for This Job
\nWe’re looking for the person who, when they finish their assigned work, doesn’t disappear until someone gives them another task.
\nThey look around, see that the wash rack needs unloaded, a stack of material needs moved, or something needs cleaned up, and they take care of it.
\nThey don’t have to know how to do everything on day one. We can teach processes and equipment. What is much harder to teach is work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and personal pride in the finished product.
\nIf you’re the kind of person who likes working with your hands, takes pride in doing things right, and would rather be productive than sit around waiting for someone to tell you what to do, we’d like to hear from you.
\nQualifications
\nPreferred:
\n• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, painting, assembly, or industrial shop experience
\n• Experience using hand and power tools
\n• Basic understanding of measuring and cutting materials
\n• Experience working around industrial equipment
\nRequired:
\n• Dependable attendance
\n• Ability to safely perform physical shop work
\n• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
\n• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
\n• Willingness to learn new processes and equipment
\nWhy Join Us?
\nThis is an opportunity to become a valuable part of a team where your work actually matters. You’ll learn multiple aspects of the operation rather than being stuck doing the exact same task every day.
\nIf you’re looking for a job where you can build skills, stay busy, and take pride in what you produce, this could be a great fit.
\nApply today and tell us a little about your experience and what you’re looking for in your next job.
