Role Description The Registered Dental Hygienist role at On Demand Kare is a full-time, part-time, or PRN on-site position based from Louisville, KY. This requires daily travel to the day's location. The hygienist will perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, and patient education on oral health and preventive care. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, taking and recording periodontal measurements, assisting in the diagnosis and management of periodontal disease, and collaborating with the dentist on individualized treatment plans. The role also involves maintaining strict infection control protocols, documenting care accurately in patient records, and ensuring a comfortable, respectful experience for patients. The hygienist will work as part of a clinical team, contributing to a positive, efficient, and patient-focused practice environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support accurate diagnoses and comprehensive treatment planning.

• Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and preventive procedures aligned with current clinical standards.
\n
• Experience assessing and managing Periodontal Disease, including periodontal charting, patient education, and coordination of appropriate therapies.
\n
• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Kentucky and adherence to all relevant regulatory and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Knowledge of infection control, sterilization procedures, and OSHA standards, with a strong commitment to patient and staff safety.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage patients of diverse backgrounds in oral health practices.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based clinical environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to practice workflows and technologies.
\n
• CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with electronic dental records systems; prior experience in a general or periodontal practice is preferred.
\n
• Ability to drive to our van storage facility and drive our vans to the work location each day.
\n
• Driver's License and a good driving record. No major speeding violations or major accidents in the last five (5) years.
