Job Description
Franklin County Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our skilled nursing team. In this role, you’ll work closely with residents to help them regain independence, improve their quality of life, and achieve their individual functional goals.
You’ll be part of a collaborative healthcare team that values compassionate care, resident dignity, and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
About the RoleAs an Occupational Therapist (OT), your responsibilities will include:
Evaluating residents and developing individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs and goals
Providing therapeutic activities and interventions that promote independence and daily living skills
Monitoring resident progress and documenting treatment and outcomes
Helping residents improve their ability to perform daily activities following injury, illness, or other conditions
Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment
Collaborating with nursing, therapy, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated resident care
Communicating effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current Vermont Occupational Therapist (OT) license
Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
