Ottawa Health Care Center is looking for an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activity Director to join our team!

What You’ll Do

As our Activity Director, you’ll be responsible for creating an engaging and meaningful activities program that supports the social, emotional, physical, and recreational needs of our residents.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan, develop, and oversee a diverse calendar of resident activities and events

• Create engaging programs based on resident interests, abilities, and preferences

• Encourage resident participation and build excitement around activities

• Coordinate outings, celebrations, entertainment, and special events

• Develop relationships with community organizations, volunteers, churches, and local groups

• Collaborate with Nursing, Social Services, Dietary, and other departments to enhance the resident experience

• Maintain appropriate activity documentation and records

• Support residents in maintaining independence, social connections, and a strong sense of community

• Bring creativity, positivity, and FUN into the facility!

What We’re Looking For

• Energetic, outgoing, and creative personality

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Genuine passion for working with seniors

• Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying interests and abilities

• Previous healthcare, long-term care, senior living, recreation, or activities experience is preferred

• Leadership experience is a plus
