Job Description
Are you a nursing student looking for hands-on clinical experience or a retired nurse who wants to stay engaged in patient care on a flexible schedule? We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled RN or LPN to join our team for a part-time 12-hour night shift (one night per week).
This role allows you to provide skilled, hands-on care in a supportive, homelike environment with excellent staffing ratios and a focus on quality care without burnout. You will work alongside CNAs and collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure clinical best practices are followed.
LPNs pay $32.00-$36.00 and RNs pay $37.00-$43.00 depending on experience.

DUTIES:
- Provide direct nursing care during assigned night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Complete accurate documentation and MAR entries.
- Monitor and assess client conditions.
- Support CNAs during care as needed.
- Ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices.
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive overnight environment.
- Participate in hands-on teaching and guidance for CNAs and nurses as needed.
Clinical Skills Required:
- Straight catheterization • G-tube care • Ostomy/Colostomy care • Phlebotomy • IV therapy Preferred • Tracheostomy (trach) care (preferred) • Ventilator (vent) management (preferred)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active RN license in the State of Maine
- Skilled nursing experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving Policy.
