Licensed Esthetician with Lead Esthetician Growth OpportunityAmara by the Sea | Pacific Grove, California


Amara by the Sea is seeking an exceptional licensed esthetician who wants more than a temporary position. We are looking for someone who is ready to build a loyal clientele, become deeply rooted in our spa and community, and grow into a strong leader for our esthetics department.

This position offers a clear opportunity to be considered for Lead Esthetician after the initial 90-day development period. The right candidate will be motivated by advanced skincare, luxury hospitality, retail education, team development, and the opportunity to help shape the future of our esthetics department.

Your First 90 Days

During your first 90 days, your focus will be on:

• Completing training and becoming fully signed off on all required Amara esthetic services and protocols
  
  
• Developing exceptional consistency, confidence, and attention to detail in every treatment
  
  
• Delivering a warm, polished, luxury-level client experience
  
  
• Actively building and retaining a loyal clientele
  
  
• Generating strong client requests, rebooking, and referrals
  
  
• Maintaining consistently strong retail sales through thoughtful, education-based recommendations
  
  
• Learning our professional skincare lines, home-care products, and treatment plans
  
  
• Supporting spa marketing through social media participation, service education, and promotional content
  
  
• Demonstrating reliability, initiative, professionalism, and a team-first attitude
  
  
• Showing the communication and technical skills needed to train and support other estheticians
  
  

Path to Lead Esthetician

Candidates who successfully meet our performance, training, and leadership expectations during the first 90 days may become eligible for consideration for the Lead Esthetician position.

The Lead Esthetician role would include:

• Increased hourly compensation
  
  
• Increased service commission
  
  
• Eligibility for monthly performance-based bonuses
  
  
• Paid leadership and administrative hours
  
  
• Training and mentoring estheticians
  
  
• Supporting treatment consistency, protocols, and quality control
  
  
• Helping the department meet goals for utilization, revenue, client requests, enhancements, retail sales, and client satisfaction
  
  
• Partnering with spa ownership on department growth, education, and service development
  
  

Advancement is based on demonstrated performance, leadership readiness, business needs, and successful completion of the required training and service sign-offs. Completion of the first 90 days does not automatically guarantee promotion.

• Holds a current California esthetician license
  
  
• Has unrestricted availability and can work the schedule required by the spa, including weekends, peak periods, and special events

• Has strong consultation, retail recommendation, rebooking, and client-retention skills

• Has the ability and desire to train, mentor, and lead others
  
  
• Takes initiative and follows through without constant direction
  
  
• Is dependable, organized, polished, and attentive to detail
  
  
• Understands that leadership includes accountability, communication, and supporting the success of the entire department
  
  
• Values collaboration, community involvement, and exceptional hospitality
  
  

Experience with advanced facial modalities and professional skincare is strongly preferred. Previous leadership or training experience is a plus, but we are also open to an outstanding esthetician who has clear leadership potential and is ready to grow.
