Location: Dallas, TX. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for an attorney who values close collaboration with colleagues and direct client interaction.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and have 4+ years of direct family law experience. Strong experience with trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, case management, and client relations is important. Solo practice experience is welcome; candidates whose legal experience is exclusively in-house are not the target profile.

Job Description

  • Manage family law matters from initial consultation through resolution.
  • Advise clients on divorce, custody, support, property, and other family law issues.
  • Develop case strategy and provide clear, practical legal guidance to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, orders, and other family law documents.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trials.
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients by phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Independently manage deadlines, filings, discovery, and overall case progress.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve strong client outcomes.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and strict client confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
  • 4+ years of direct family law experience.
  • Meaningful courtroom, trial, deposition, and mediation experience.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a family law caseload.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Texas Board Certification in Family Law is preferred, not required.
