A school district serving middle and high school students is looking for a Special Education Teacher to lead a small, self-contained middle school classroom.

You’ll provide individualized instruction and support for students in grades 6–8, helping them build academic, behavioral, and social skills in a structured and supportive environment.

What you’ll do:

• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom
• Develop instruction around individual student needs and goals
• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially
• Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families
• Monitor student progress and maintain educational documentation
• Participate in meetings and support the development and implementation of IEPs
• Maintain a structured, engaging classroom environment
• Provide individualized attention to a small caseload of approximately 5–6 students

What you’ll need:

• Appropriate New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification/licensure
• Experience in a self-contained special education setting
• Experience working with middle school students, ideally grades 6–8
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary school team
• Willingness to work fully in person
