A day in this roleYour shift begins at 5:00 p.m.. You walk the floor, greet your crew in both English and Spanish, and kick off the evening plan. You’re the bridge between production goals and hands-on execution—directing pipe finishing, guiding outlets/specials, and sequencing loading so trucks depart on time. With your welding knowledge and blueprint fluency, you remove roadblocks, coach best practices, and keep quality tight. Before sunrise, production is complete, paperwork is accurate, and the team is ready for handoff.
What you’ll lead and deliver- Coordinate critical areas of pipe finishing, outlets/specials, and loading to meet schedule and quality targets.
- Assure on-time material deliveries and stage components to prevent delays.
- Maintain a strong floor presence to reinforce safety, quality, and production best practices.
- Develop action plans that keep commitments and deadlines on track.
- Monitor personnel for adherence to company policies and productivity standards; evaluate team members and provide feedback.
- Read blueprints/specifications; apply technical proficiency to guide work.
- Ensure the product—backed by quality evaluations—meets customer expectations and job specifications.
- Drive communications and training to build capability across the crew.
- Complete required administrative tasks in line with company procedures.
- Maintain order on the floor and strive for zero defects and zero incidents.
- Welding knowledge and hands-on manufacturing know-how.
- Bilingual English/Spanish—able to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both.
- 2+ years of experience leading teams in manufacturing or production support.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching; ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Work around moving machinery; exposure to temperature changes, dust, and fumes.
- Use of PPE including ear plugs, hard hat, steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses as required.
Not a warehouse role. This is an outdoor plant environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, and changing weather.
Compensation & schedule- Starting pay: $23
- Shift: 5 p.m. – 5 a.m.
