Substitute Food Service Worker - Work as needed

About the Role:

The Substitute Food Service Worker (FSW) plays a critical role in maintaining seamless operations by providing flexible and reliable support across various kitchens within Mahomet-Seymour School District. This position ensures that customer service standards remain high even during staff absences or peak business periods. The Substitute FSW is responsible for helping to prepare food, serving the customer, dishes and general clean-up. Opportunity for a permanent position when one becomes available. Must pass a background check.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours during the morning and early afternoon. 
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers in serving line.
• Prepping food and helping with dishes and clean-up.
