About this job
Job Description
If you've ever wanted to treat pediatric patients where they actually live and play — homes, preschools, the places where progress is measured in first steps rather than session notes — this is that role. It pays $60–$70 per hour, reimburses mileage, and keeps your travel inside a small, localized territory instead of sending you across three counties in a day.
This is early childhood intervention with a preschool clinical organization in greater Rochester. You'll work directly with young children in their natural environments, and you'll do it alongside a multidisciplinary team rather than on your own.
Two positions are open. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Why This Opportunity Is Worth a Look- $60–$70 per hour, fee-for-service
- Mileage reimbursement for a mobile caseload
- Territory kept small — service area is restricted to a limited geographic region
- Manageable, well-organized caseloads
- Flexible scheduling built around your availability, full-time or part-time
- Option to work through the summer if you want the additional hours
- Relocation assistance available, and candidates nationwide are being considered
- Full benefits for eligible employees: health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays, sick leave, and PTO; paid life insurance; voluntary supplemental benefits; 401(k) with company contribution
- Travel to children in their natural environments across Rochester and nearby suburbs
- Deliver relationship-centered physical therapy to preschool-aged children
- Partner with families in the home and community settings where the child spends their day
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary early intervention team
- Work with supervision that supports you rather than checks on you
Your caseload stays inside a defined local area, so the driving is predictable.
What We're Looking For- Active New York State Physical Therapy license
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Interest in pediatric and early childhood intervention work
New graduates and experienced therapists are both welcome to apply — the client is open across the full experience range.
Why Candidates Say YesTherapists take this role because the compensation is strong, the schedule bends to fit their life, and the work is genuinely meaningful. Rochester also makes the math easier: a significantly lower cost of living than major metros, a real arts and museum scene, well-rated parks, and the Finger Lakes region close enough for a weekend on the water or the trails.
Ready to Explore? If you're a physical therapist who wants pediatric work with real flexibility and a caseload that respects your time, this one is worth a conversation. Reach out and we'll walk you through the details — territory, schedule options, and what the day actually looks like — so you can decide whether it fits.
Great Bay Staffing represents candidates with complete confidentiality. Your résumé will never be shared with a client without your knowledge and approval.
