Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, quality-driven CT Technologist to join a dedicated diagnostic imaging team in Texarkana, Texas. Operating high-performance multi-slice Computed Tomography equipment, this role delivers accurate diagnostic cross-sectional imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical technical skill, patient-focused care, and strict adherence to radiation safety and ALARA protocols.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic CT Imaging: Perform routine and complex diagnostic CT scans—including trauma, cross-sectional anatomy, angiographics, and contrast-enhanced procedures—according to physician orders and established protocol.
  • Patient Care & Workflow: Perform patient intake, explain procedures, screen for contrast contraindications, administer oral/IV contrast media safely, and position patients comfortably and accurately.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA), maintaining accurate dose monitoring and utilizing proper shielding for patient and staff safety.
  • Image Management & EMR: Verify image quality, post-process clinical data, and push completed exams to PACS while completing electronic medical record (EMR) documentations promptly.
  • Quality Assurance & Maintenance: Conduct daily equipment quality control checks, report technical malfunctions immediately, and maintain a clean, stocked imaging suite.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside radiologists, emergency department staff, and attending physicians to ensure rapid diagnostic turnarounds for critical cases.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (AMA approved).
  • Certifications & Licensure:
  • ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(CT) credential required or obtainment expected within a designated timeframe.
  • Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (AHA approved).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 1+ years of dedicated CT experience in an acute care or clinical setting preferred.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy, IV contrast administration, and PACS/RIS systems.
