BUSINESS OPERATIONS ANALYST
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting and improving business processes related to commercial assets, supply chain operations, and cross-functional business activities. This position coordinates with Sales, Trade Marketing, Logistics, Administration, and Procurement to ensure effective planning, tracking, and control of commercial assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition and delivery to installation, maintenance, retrieval, and final disposition. The role also focuses on data analysis, inventory management, KPI reporting, process improvement, and business technology systems, helping improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and overall business performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and monitor the acquisition of commercial assets, from identifying business needs and planning through delivery to the appropriate warehouse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of commercial assets throughout their lifecycle, including capitalization, invoicing, inventory, and supporting documentation.
- Review and process commercial asset requests submitted by the Sales team, ensuring compliance with established procedures and proper system documentation.
- Coordinate with Logistics to schedule and monitor the timely delivery, installation, and placement of commercial assets at retail locations.
- Coordinate the maintenance, repair, retrieval, and final disposition of commercial assets, working with technical service providers and vendors as needed.
- Conduct periodic inventory and asset audits to verify records and monitor the condition and status of assets.
- Serve as a key point of coordination between Sales, Trade Marketing, Logistics, Procurement, Administration, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve workflow efficiency.
- Analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, inventory, asset placement, delivery timelines, service issues, and other operational metrics.
- Support the use and adoption of Salesforce to integrate and track data related to the commercial asset lifecycle and support process visibility.
- Analyze operational data to identify gaps, discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions to reduce rework and improve response times.
- Support user training and adoption of business systems and processes within the scope of the position.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business operations, process management, procurement, logistics, inventory management, or a related area.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Google Workspace, particularly Google Drive and Google Sheets.
- Experience using CRM, ERP, field management, or other business management systems.
- Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system, particularly in areas related to inventory, fixed assets, or logistics, is highly preferred.
- Understanding of inventory control, asset management, physical audits, and asset tracking processes.
- Familiarity with logistics and distribution processes, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages as required by the position.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
