Industrial Maintenance Electrician — PLC/Drives Specialist

Summit Service Solutions connects expert tradespeople with meaningful work. With 20+ years serving manufacturing, we’re placing an electrician at a partner facility in Lancaster, PA for a long-term, full-time, first-shift assignment paying $30–$35/hour DOE.

Your impact

Picture walking a production floor where uptime matters. A new filler needs power, a conveyor needs a VFD tuned, and a sensor fault is holding up the line. You triage, wire, test, and release—safely and efficiently.

Power systems
  • Build/modify plant power distribution
  • Install switchgear, transformers, disconnects, MCCs, and panels
  • Run feeders/branches for new equipment installs
  • Verify voltage, phase rotation, and load capacity
Machinery & commissioning
  • Connect and start up production machinery
  • Relocate/reconnect equipment as layouts evolve
  • Install motors, VFDs, control panels, and enclosures
  • Route and terminate power/control wiring
  • Troubleshoot controls and electrical faults to cut downtime
Automation & validation
  • Integrate PLC-driven systems (Siemens)
  • Wire sensors, limit switches, photo eyes, and peripherals
  • Confirm communications and signal health
  • Test and validate correct operation before release
Safety first
  • Execute electrical testing and verification
  • Adhere to NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and GMP
  • Maintain safe work practices while supporting throughput
  • Perform preventive maintenance when required

High-volume experience in plastics, food & beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar is a strong plus.

Experience & credentials
  • 6+ years as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing/industrial settings
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Bring your own basic hand and electrical tools
Required notices
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen (We are a drug-free company)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
