Job Description
CWI Works is recruiting for an Agreement Specialist position through the Forest Service Experienced Services (FS-ACES) Program. This grant-administered program provides experienced professionals with an opportunity to support the mission and operations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting in the management of agreements, ensuring the documents are properly prepared and administered. An Agreement Specialist is a professional responsible for managing the full lifecycle of agreements between the agency and external partners. This role ensures that all agreements are compliant, commercially viable, and aligned with legal and company policies, while protecting the organization’s interests and mitigating risks.
Duties include:
- Provide advisory and implementation support to the Forest Service on agreements and project management. Give advice and consult with those involved with agreements, communicate and disseminate information and implement tasks for ongoing agreement efforts.
- Provide neutral technical and specialist support on new and existing agreements.
- Provide liaison services between National Forests and the Washington Office about the agreement process.
- Reviews and analyzes terms, conditions, and obligations ensuring that agreements are well-drafted, legally sound, and strategically beneficial.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must be 55 years of age or older and eligible to work in the United States. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in a related field. Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential. Experience working with correspondence tracking systems and government or administrative applications is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
Hours & Compensation:
Part-Time position working up to 30 hours per week @ $80.00.
