Speech-Language Pathologist
Hagerstown Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team on a PRN basis.
Job Summary:
As a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services on an as-needed basis. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing education to patients, families, and rehabilitation staff. You will also maintain accurate records, participate in continuing education programs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, screen, and treat patients who need speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing therapy services
• Review medical charts and develop comprehensive treatment plans in accordance with patient needs
• Implement treatment plans through direct intervention and education of clinical staff
• Provide necessary supervision for therapy assistants or clinical fellows as applicable
• Maintain accurate billing information and strict confidentiality of medical records
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and family meetings as appropriate
Requirements:
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competency in evaluation and treatment principles for speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia (swallowing) disorders
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare accreditation guidelines
