Schedule: Full-Time | Approximately 20 shifts/month
Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Call: No Call
EMR: Epic
Compensation: $150/hour
$150/hr lucrative locum opportunity
Ongoing assignment with full-time coverage needs
Rotate between multiple urgent care locations within approximately 30 miles
No call responsibilities
Work alongside 1–3 providers per site
Medical Assistants and Radiology Technicians available onsite
Physician support available remotely when needed
Opportunity to treat a diverse patient population, including pediatrics
All ages, including pediatric patients 6 months+
Approximately 80% adults / 20% pediatrics
Average volume: 3–4 patients per hour
Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses and minor injuries
Manage cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns
Perform wound care, suturing, and incision & drainage
Perform splinting and basic orthopedic procedures
Interpret X-rays and EKGs
Perform blood draws and IV placement
Provide pediatric urgent care
Refer higher-acuity patients to the Emergency Department
Work independently without onsite physician supervision
Minimum 2 years of Urgent Care experience OR 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
Comfortable treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Suturing
Wound care
Incision & drainage
Splinting/basic orthopedic procedures
X-ray and EKG interpretation
Blood draws and IV placement
Comfortable working independently
Epic experience required
Board Certified – Required
Active West Virginia License at time of application – Required
IMLC not accepted
DEA Registration – Required
West Virginia CSR – Required
BLS – Required
ACLS – Required
PALS – Required
Candidates must confirm experience and comfort with:
Suturing, wound care & incision/drainage
Splinting
X-ray & EKG interpretation
Blood draws & IV placement
Independent practice
Treating pediatric patients
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
