Job Description
An urgent Respiratory Therapist backfill is now open in the Cherokee Nation region of Oklahoma. This is a strong opportunity for an RT who is comfortable caring for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in an acute-care environment.
The team needs someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and manage a broad range of respiratory needs across an acutely ill patient population.
Job Title: Certified Respiratory Therapist / Respiratory Tech (CRT/RT)
Location: Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma
Engagement Type: Contract
Shift:
12-hour night shifts
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Charting: Cerner
Patient Population:
Neonates through adults
Acutely ill patients
Wide variety of medical and respiratory conditions
Pediatric experience is required
Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations
Assess respiratory status and monitor response to treatment
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other prescribed respiratory therapies
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory-care equipment
Assist with airway management and respiratory support as needed
Monitor acutely ill patients and promptly communicate changes in condition
Document assessments, treatments, and patient response in Cerner
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader clinical team
Follow respiratory-care, infection-control, and patient-safety protocols
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months of Respiratory Therapy experience
Pediatric experience required
NBRC credential required
Active Oklahoma Respiratory License required
BLS – AHA required
ACLS – AHA required
PALS – AHA required
NRP required
Cerner experience strongly relevant to the assignment
Comfortable caring for patients ranging from neonates through adults
Scrubs:
Burgundy, maroon, or wine-colored scrubs
