About the Position:


The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) plays a key role in supporting the maintenance program established by the Physical Therapist and/or Occupational Therapist under a physician’s order. Additionally, the RNA carries out other restorative programs for assigned residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing or designee. This role also includes accurately recording entries on flow sheets, including ADLs, I&Os, meal percentages, vitals, and bowel & bladder, as well as documenting any additional information as requested by the charge nurse.

  • Performs restorative/rehabilitation care and services (ambulation, Range of Motion, etc.) with residents as indicated in individual care plans.  

  • Document resident participation in and response to services in accordance with state regulations and facility policy.  

  • Recommend modifications and changes in the residents’ restorative care.  

  • Work closely with Nursing Staff and/or licensed rehabilitation staff to assure services are performed to meet the needs of the resident.  

  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, wheelchairs.  

  • Comply with resident’s rights ensuring that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in California.
