We are seeking an organized, high-energy Staffing Scheduler for our day shift team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee master schedule creation, manage daily coverage, track attendance, and partner with leadership to keep unit staffing optimized for high-quality resident care.
Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule Master Management: Create, update, and maintain staff schedules across all shifts and departments to ensure compliance and adequate resident coverage.
Shift Shortage Coverage: Address immediate call-outs, tardiness, and vacancy gaps by adjusting schedules, contacting internal staff, or coordinating with approved agencies.
Attendance & Payroll Tracking: Record attendance, call-outs, and overtime data to generate metrics reports for leadership and support accurate payroll processing.
HR & Recruitment Alignment: Work closely with HR regarding leaves (FMLA/non-FMLA), status changes, and resignations while supporting recruitment and retention strategies.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate regularly with the DON, ADON, Administrator, and department heads to address ongoing staffing needs and comply with facility policies.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
Experience: Previous scheduling experience and Long-Term Care (LTC) background strongly preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Core Competencies: Exceptional organization, strong problem-solving abilities, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
