Our busy orthopedic practice is seeking a Part-Time Imaging Technologist to join our team on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This role is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures while providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. This position prepares and positions patients for imaging, operates radiologic equipment, ensures diagnostic image quality, and maintains accurate documentation in accordance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and established clinical protocols. The Imaging Technologist works collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and deliver exceptional orthopedic care in a fast-paced outpatient practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Explain imaging procedures and answer patient questions to help create a positive experience.
  • Verify physician orders and imaging procedures for accuracy.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
  • Utilize the radiology information system to accurately document and facilitate patient care.
  • Complete quality control procedures and assist with maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support department operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional imaging environment.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Current Louisiana State Radiologic Technologist (LSRT) certification required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
