Aerospace Quality Engineer

We are seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support quality activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection teams to resolve quality issues and ensure products meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers regarding quality concerns, nonconforming parts, and returns
• Review and process nonconforming material and MRB items
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Complete and submit First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan activities
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Use GD&T to understand part and inspection requirements
• Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
• Support customer and internal quality audits
• Monitor product and process quality
• Track and report quality performance
• Help improve manufacturing processes and prevent repeat quality issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or related field
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aerospace manufacturing
• Knowledge of AS9100D and/or AS13100
• Experience with MRB and nonconforming material
• Experience with First Article Inspections
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience working directly with customers on quality issues
• Quality or Six Sigma certifications are a plus
