Fuze HR Solutions is hiring for an experienced Quality CMM Inspector & Programmer/Operator to join an established aerospace and defense manufacturing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with aerospace quality inspection experience who is comfortable with CMM programming, precision measurement, GD&T, and First Article Inspection (FAI).
Pay:
$30.00–$45.00 per hour

About the Opportunity:
Our client is a long-established aerospace and defense manufacturer specializing in precision machining, fabrication, stamping, and assembly. The company has a strong history in the industry and a growing pipeline of long-term contracts.
What You'll Do:
- Program and operate CMM equipment using CMM Manager software.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on aerospace components.
- Measure parts accurately using CMMs, optical comparators, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.
- Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and AS9102 Form 3 documentation.
- Review drawings, specifications, certificates, and revision levels.
- Interpret aerospace blueprints, 2D drawings, 3D models, and engineering documentation.
- Apply GD&T requirements to drawings and inspection processes.
- Create and review bubble drawings and inspection documentation.
- Create Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and inspection sheets.
- Document and communicate non-conformances, adjustments, and required rework.
- Verify CNC programming models and derivative drawings.
- Ensure inspected products meet customer and design specifications.
- Maintain accurate inspection and calibration records.
What We're Looking For:
Required:
- 3+ years of aerospace quality inspection experience
- 3+ years of CMM programming and operating experience
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints
- Experience with precision measurement equipment, including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Height gauges
- Optical comparators
- Other inspection tools
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, and ITAR
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- High school diploma required
Preferred:
- Experience with CMM Manager software
- Experience with Discus and Enovia
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Experience with Infor Visual ERP
- Additional quality, metrology, or aerospace training
Training will be provided on company-specific software.

- Stand, sit, and bend for extended periods
- Work in both a machine shop and office environment
- Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Maintain excellent attendance and time management
