We are currently seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist for our Imaging Department. As a Registered MRI Technologist, you are a professional who works under the supervision of the Imaging Department Director to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well-being of our patient and family. This includes providing a safe MRI experience for the patient.

About the Role:

In this position, you will:

  • Provide patient care across MR, CT, and X-ray modalities.
  • Ensure MRI safety protocols are followed and educate patients, co-workers, and non-imaging staff on MRI safety.
  • Make independent decisions while delivering care to patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
  • Lead by example, potentially overseeing specific modalities, delegating patient care tasks, and guiding co-workers.
  • Utilize your clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, provide, delegate, supervise, manage, and evaluate patient care.

You must be able to clearly explain MRI safety basics to patients, staff, and others, and demonstrate and implement MRI safety practices effectively. Flexibility to perform across multiple imaging modalities (MR, CT, XR) is essential.

What We Offer:

  • May assist 20 - 40 hours per pay period until last FTE is filled or on weekends for contingency needs.
  • Hourly position (non-exempt) reporting to the Imaging Department Medical Director.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • 1+ years of experience as a CT Tech preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist program.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills to deliver care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in the execution of your duties.
  • Desire to learn and develop technical skills in laboratory operations.
  • Basic computer operation skills; experience with department-specific information systems is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Licensure, Registration, or Certification:

  • Registered ARRT Radiology, Radiography, and Magnetic Resonance.
  • Kansas Licensure for Radiology Technologist.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • There may be additional Registries necessary dependent on the modality assigned.
