Job Description

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced X-Ray / CT Technologist for a temporary contract assignment in the Bad Axe, MI area. The technologist will perform diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings while providing safe, high-quality patient care.

Weekend & Call Requirements: Every 3rd weekend (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | No on-call requirements

Shift 12-Hour Shifts (Primarily Day Shifts 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, with at least one Night Shift 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM per week)

Responsibilities:

Perform routine, emergency, and specialized X-ray and CT procedures.
Operate digital, mobile, and bariatric-capable X-ray and CT equipment.
Process and transmit imaging studies through PACS for radiologist review.
Prepare patients for procedures, explain positioning, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
Follow radiation safety and imaging protocols.
Communicate effectively with physicians, emergency department staff, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Prioritize imaging procedures based on patient needs and clinical urgency.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in both X-Ray and CT – Required
Active ARRT registration – Required
AHA BLS Certification – Required
Experience performing imaging procedures in hospital or acute care settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment.
Previous travel or contract assignment experience.
Recent specialty skills checklist.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts.
Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
At least one night shift per week.
Every 3rd weekend.
No on-call requirements.
