Details of Assignment:
Position patients correctly for imaging procedures. Operate radiographic equipment and select appropriate technical factors. Process and manage digital images. Maintain radiation safety standards for patients and staff. Assist physicians with contrast media and special procedures. Transport patients as needed. Perform portable X-rays, including support for surgical procedures. Assist with CT, Ultrasound, and Mammography procedures when trained. Participate in on-call imaging coverage as required.
We usually have 2-3 techs working at any given time, with the exception of late evening & night shift, when there is only one.
Minimum Experience and Certification Required:
2 years experience as a Rad Tech and some experience with CT
ARRT
WA license
BLS

- It is also designated as a Level IV Trauma Hospital and Level III Stroke Hospital, so the X-ray tech may handle emergency, trauma, inpatient, and time-sensitive imaging.
