Group Fitness Instructor

Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club is seeking an energetic and motivating Group Fitness Instructor to join our group fitness team. 

At HFAC, we pride ourselves on delivering a welcoming, community-centered experience through exceptional instruction and care. Our classes are designed to help members build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness while supporting mindfulness, stress relief, and overall wellness.

As an instructor, you’ll lead safe, effective, and engaging classes that support participants throughout their wellness journeys. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive environment and helping members feel confident, connected, and motivated to return.

$30 - $35 per class

• Lead engaging classes aligned with HFAC standards

• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all experience and fitness levels

• Provide clear instruction on poses, alignment, breathing techniques, transitions, and safety

• Offer appropriate modifications and progressions to meet individual needs and abilities

• Design and deliver thoughtful class sequences with effective pacing and coaching cues

• Assist participants with the safe and proper use of mats, blocks, straps, and other props

• Arrive prepared and on time to provide a professional and positive member experience

Essential Requirements: 

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, or equivalent)
• Previous group fitness instruction experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different class sizes and participant needs
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
