Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for an Emergency Room Nurse to join our Emergency Services team. You'll assess, triage, and treat patients facing acute illness or trauma, working alongside physicians and a tight-knit ER team to stabilize patients fast and effectively. This is high-stakes, high-reward nursing - for someone who stays calm under pressure and thrives on variety and quick thinking.

This is a great fit for an experienced ER nurse looking for a fast-paced unit with strong team support, or a nurse ready to specialize in emergency and trauma care.

What You'll Do

• Assess, triage, and treat patients with acute illnesses or injuries
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to stabilize patients quickly
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor vital signs
• Educate patients and families throughout treatment
• Prioritize effectively and think on your feet in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

What You Bring

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Illinois RN license
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Willingness to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 1 month of hire
• TNCC or ITLS certification preferred
• ECRN certification preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication skills, physical stamina, and emotional resilience
