ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY SUPERINTENDENT 

POSITION SUMMARY 

Okland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Technology Superintendent to oversee the construction and installation of advanced semiconductor facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and demonstrate expertise in managing complex construction projects. This role is critical for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while collaborating effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Oversee all phases of semiconductor facility construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and safety standards. 
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including subcontractors and trades, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages communication and problem-solving. 
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with various trades and stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow. 
  • Establish and implement quality control procedures to ensure the construction meets technical specifications and regulatory requirements. 
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of project-related issues. 
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and punch lists, ensuring thorough records are kept throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and implementing corrective actions as necessary. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards specific to semiconductor manufacturing. 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction supervision, with a focus on advanced technology or semiconductor projects. 
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, facility construction techniques, and related technologies. 
  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively, promoting a culture of safety and excellence. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members at all levels. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other construction-related tools. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS 

  • Extensive knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal building codes. 
  • Proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks. 
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control. 
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels. 
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage teams. 
  • Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask. 
  • Ability to proactively plan for risks to meet or exceed deadlines. 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace. 
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.  The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.  The employee is also required to frequently inspect the project and will be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, wind, and heat. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.  Will likely be required to operate a rough terrain forklift, and will spend long hours on their feet on uneven surfaces.
