Janitorial Team Lead – Downtown Richmond (N. 9th St.)

ServiceMaster Services | Part-Time, Evenings | $15/hr

Lead a small cleaning crew in Downtown Richmond and help keep a busy building running smoothly. This is a hands-on supervisory role - you'll clean alongside your team, coach them day to day, and be the point of contact for making sure the building looks great every night.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 PM–9:30 PM (20 hrs/week) Location: Downtown Richmond, N. 9th St. area

What You'll Do

Lead the team

• Assign and oversee daily, weekly, and project-based cleaning tasks
• Train, coach, and motivate janitorial staff
• Set clear expectations and follow up with corrective action when needed
• Adapt on the fly - priorities and team makeup can shift day to day

Keep the building running

• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure facility for everyone who works there
• Handle trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and restroom cleaning
• Respond quickly to client and occupant requests or concerns
• Walk the building at shift's end to confirm everything is done right

What You'll Need

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• 18 years or older
• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred - you'll be training staff and troubleshooting issues on your own
• Strong communicator with clients, building occupants, and coworkers
• Comfortable working independently as well as leading a team
• Reliable work history that shows accountability and follow-through
• Physically able to be on your feet a full shift, including walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting
