Personal Care Partner — Night Shift

Cappella Pueblo West Assisted Living

We're looking for a dependable, compassionate Personal Care Partner for our night shift. This role is for someone who shows up—for their shift and for our residents—and can be trusted to provide steady, attentive care overnight.

What You'll Do

• Help residents with daily personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, laundry)
• Notice and report changes in resident health, mood, or needs
• Monitor resident safety throughout the night
• Assist with medications as permitted by state law
• Communicate with supervisors, peers, and family members
• Document care and complete work orders as needed
• Report any signs of abuse or neglect per regulation
• Join monthly staff meetings

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• One (1) year experience in some level of elder care preferred
• Knowledgeable with Electronic Health Management system
• Strong self-management and organization skills
• Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines, flexible and adaptable (open to change).
• Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Constant standing, walking, and grasping.  Frequent stooping and reaching above shoulder heights, occasional sitting, crawling, kneeling, and squatting.
• May have exposure to blood borne pathogens, body excretions and communicable diseases possible.
• Possible exposure to household chemicals.
• Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
• May be subject to frequent interruptions.
• Interacts with clients, family members and visitors frequently.
