Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical experience and the ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
This role requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, knowledge of electrical safety requirements, and the ability to work independently while supporting production and facility operations. The successful candidate will help ensure that electrical equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while adhering to applicable codes and safety standards.
Job Description
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Work with 120/240V and 480V electrical systems, controls, VSD and VFD controls, transformers, lighting, receptacles, breaker panels, disconnects, switches, motors, wiring, conduit, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls, starters, VFDs, and other industrial electrical components.
- Install, bend, and route conduit according to job requirements and applicable electrical codes.
- Pull, terminate, and properly connect electrical wiring and cables.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, prints, drawings, product manuals, and technical documentation.
- Use electrical testing equipment, meters, and other diagnostic tools to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to help maintain safe and reliable equipment operation.
- Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing electrical equipment.
- Adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, OSHA requirements, and all applicable company safety and quality procedures.
- Wear all required PPE and appropriate clothing and footwear while performing job duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safe work practices at all times.
- Respond to electrical maintenance issues and production needs, including call-outs and overtime as required.
Experience
- Must have more than 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Industrial Electrician.
- Must have technical training in industrial and commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, motors, motor starters, VFDs/VSDs, transformers, panels, disconnects, and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical testing tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and identify the source of electrical and equipment problems.
- Experience bending and installing conduit, pulling wire, and terminating electrical connections.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, prints, drawings, product manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and applicable electrical safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20–50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and climb as required to perform job duties.
- Ability to work overtime and respond to call-outs, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Schedule
- Normal work shift: 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
- This position requires call-outs and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
