Job Description:
Position Summary
Smith Transport is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for our Over-the-Road fleet. This full-time position offers dependable direct-customer freight, modern equipment, competitive mileage pay, and predictable home time. Drivers operate 53-foot dry van trailers primarily on no-touch, drop-and-hook loads.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle over assigned OTR routes.
• Transport direct-customer freight in accordance with company procedures and delivery schedules.
• Complete required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate trip, mileage, delivery, and Hours-of-Service records.
• Communicate professionally with driver managers, customers, terminal staff, and support teams.
• Follow all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Schedule and Compensation

• Pay: $0.65 per mile
• Schedule: 12 days out followed by 48 hours of home time
• Orientation: Paid 2.5-day orientation in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• At least six months of Class A CDL driving experience
• Commitment to safe, dependable, and professional service
• Ability to meet all company and regulatory qualification requirements

Pay Range: 50000.00-90000.00 per_year, General Benefits: Full benefits including health, dental, vision. 401(k) Per Diem Passenger Program $500 paid 2.5-day orientation
