Heavy Equipment Operator **HIRING ASAP**

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join an industrial yard and facility operations team in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy equipment while also assisting with grounds maintenance, material movement, facility maintenance, site preparation, and general yard operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, pipe yard, or similar environment. Candidates should be safety-conscious, dependable, comfortable working outdoors, and able to operate equipment safely around people, materials, and other machinery.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, backhoes, skid steers, dozers, rollers, motor graders, and man lifts.
• Perform general grounds and yard maintenance, including mowing, trimming, debris removal, and maintaining clean work areas.
• Move, position, stage, and organize materials throughout the industrial yard and facility.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed.
• Perform site preparation and assist with facility and construction-related projects.
• Inspect heavy equipment before and during operation and report mechanical or safety issues.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep equipment clean and in proper operating condition.
• Assist with minor facility repairs and general maintenance duties.
• Operate equipment safely around employees, vehicles, structures, materials, and other machinery.
• Follow all established OSHA, safety, PPE, and equipment operating procedures.
• Maintain safe and organized yard, grounds, equipment, and work areas.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental conditions.
• Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and facility personnel.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse, yard, maintenance, and supervisory personnel.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Participate in equipment and safety training as required.
• Perform additional yard, material-handling, grounds, and facility duties as assigned.
