Position Summary

As an Independent Living Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals, develop life skills, and participate fully in their communities. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities (e.g., meal preparation, personal care, transportation).
• Assist individuals in developing social, vocational, and independent living skills.
• Promote inclusion and community engagement.
• Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately.
• Ensure health, safety, and dignity of all individuals served.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping others succeed.
• Must have reliable daily transportation and valid car insurance
• Previous experience in human services or caregiving is a plus but not required—training provided!
