Experienced Pipefitter Foremans - Commercial Project

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring skilled Pipefitters for an upcoming project in Clinton, Mississippi. This will be an ongoing commercial project, working 6 10-hour day shifts from Monday through Saturday, and will potentially work 6 12-hour days.

We need Pipefitters that have experience working with 3" to 24" pipe.

Pipefitter pay rate: $35- $38/hour depending on experience

NO PER DIEM IS OFFERED.

Weekly pay by direct deposit.

Pipefitter Job Duties:

• Read and review blueprints
• Assemble and install tubes, fittings, and non-metallic attachments.
• Join pipes using threads, soldering, brazing, or cemented connections
• Inspect piping systems and machinery to detect machinery malfunctions
• Apply knowledge of system operation to select the most suitable pipe type and size
• Inspect the worksite to ensure no obstructions to the pipe, and if there are any holes or interference, repair or modify the design
• Cut pipes using handheld and power tools like hammer and chisel, cutting torch, pipe cutter, and pipe cutting machine
• Thread and bend pipes using pipe bending tools and threading machines
• Inspect piping systems and machinery to detect machinery malfunctions
• Create protective pipe layers using paints and other mechanisms

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter (At least 2 years)
• Basic hand tools and all PPE
• Attention to detail.
• Be able to run at least 3" to 24" of pipe
• Technical proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret visual data
• Problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in shifts and/or overtime.
