Skilled Material Handler

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (10-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch break)
• Saturday: 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (6-hour shift)
• Please note that the work schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
  

Department: Warehouse

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to support a busy warehouse and yard operation. This position is responsible for safely moving, storing, staging, and protecting materials and equipment while maintaining an organized and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy-lift forklifts, powered industrial trucks, and overhead cranes
• Load, unload, stage, and move materials throughout warehouse and yard areas
• Transfer palletized materials between departments
• Pull raw materials for fabrication, machine, and assembly operations
• Scan and document inventory and stock-location movements
• Maintain accurate material locations and assist with cycle counts
• Keep warehouse and yard storage areas clean, organized, and properly marked
• Protect stored parts and equipment from damage and corrosion
• Follow company safety, HSE, and ISO quality procedures
• Participate in job coordination meetings and work with warehouse/shop personnel
• Perform local driving as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of warehouse/material handling experience
• 5+ years of Heavy forklift experience required
• Experience loading, unloading, staging, and storing industrial materials
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
• Inventory/scanner experience preferred
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Dependable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
