OPEX Operator / Ballot Operations

 

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Training: 1-day paid training on October 14 or October 15

Assignment: October 19 – November 19

 

Position Overview

 

ballot operations team and help support the secure and accurate processing of election materials.

 

This temporary position supports several important areas of ballot processing and election logistics, including operating ballot-processing equipment, assisting with ballot materials, and providing support wherever needed throughout the operation.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Depending on operational needs, responsibilities may include:

 

Operate OPEX and other ballot-processing equipment according to established procedures.

Inspect, open, duplicate, or imprint ballot materials as assigned.

Transport ballot materials throughout the facility.

Move opened ballot trays to designated counting-board tables when needed.

Assist Ballot Transport Officers and other team members during busy periods.

Serve as a Rover, providing support to different areas of the operation as directed.

Follow established procedures carefully to maintain accuracy and proper handling of election materials.

Maintain a professional, team-oriented, and nonpartisan work environment.

Remain attentive and focused while performing repetitive or detail-oriented tasks.

What We’re Looking For

 

The ideal candidate is:

 

Detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Physically able to stand and move throughout the work area for extended periods.

Able to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Dependable, focused, and committed to following established procedures.

Able to maintain nonpartisan conduct while working with election materials.

 

A chair is available for certain workstations; however, some equipment operations are typically performed while standing.

 

Requirements

Valid Nevada Driver’s License

Registered Clark County voter

Successful completion of required background check and drug screening

Prior election logistics experience preferred/required as applicable

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
