Restaurant Cashier

The Restaurant Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience within a casual dining environment. This position involves managing cash transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the dining area. The Food Cashier works collaboratively with team members across rotating day and evening shifts to support efficient restaurant operations and respond to occasional customer concerns.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash and process sales accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service
• Issue receipts and manage transaction records
• Maintain cleanliness around the cashier station and dining area
• Replenish stock at the cashier counter as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate operations
• Occasionally address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in retail or food service preferred
