Machine Operator - Days or Nights

We’re hiring a Machine Operator for our Brookshire, TX client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

· Job Title: Machine Operator

· Location: Brookshire, TX

· Pay: $20-$22/hr.

· Hours: Day Shift 6:00 am-5:30 pm, overtime required, or Night Shift 6:00 pm to 5:30 am, overtime required.

· Duration: Temp-to-hire

· Description of Duties: Operate heavy fabrication machinery such as Drill Lines, Angle Masters, Big Saws, Plasma Cutters, and Plate Cutters. Use an overhead crane to load and unload steel and other materials. Measure and cut material to required dimensions, identify material sizes and piece marks, and document cut lists for traceability. Maintain material control and utilize the Steel Tracking System (STS). Perform basic machine diagnostics, troubleshooting, programming, and preventative maintenance. Transfer heat numbers when required and maintain a clean and safe shop environment.

· Requirements: 1-2 years of machine operating or fabrication experience preferred. Must be able to read a tape measure, interpret prints and drawings, and operate an overhead crane. Experience operating multiple machines with similar programs and performing basic machine diagnostics and troubleshooting is required. Previous experience with plate processors, saws, Drill Lines, Angle Masters, Plasma Cutters, or similar equipment is preferred. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. and work in a fabrication shop environment. Metatarsal boots are required.
