Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues.
  • Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of machinery and equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and maintenance standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work closely with production and management to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials as required.
  • Ability to work around machinery, production equipment, and industrial environments.
  • Ability to work various shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
